The LEAP Entrepreneur Winner 2017 is announced

Set up by Lewes District Council in 2013, LEAP (Local Enterprise and Apprenticeship Platform) is dedicated to championing new enterprise within the Lewes District. It guides local people through a training programme to help them with their plans to start a new business.

15 candidates have been working with business advisors to progress their business ideas. Having attended a start-up workshop and a further 4 business seminars the candidates have been working with business advisors to help them complete their business plans. The business plans were judged by an expert panel at a "Dragons Den" type event and the winner was announced at the Lewes Business awards on the 13th July.

The winner of the LEAP Entrepreneur of the year 2017 is Anna Lane of Treatment Tents. As a massage therapist Anna set up Treatment Tents enabling her to offer a "pop up" Spa to any location, whether that be hotels, festivals, hen parties, corporate days or local residences. Treatment tents will not only be a place where people can be pampered but also a platform for healing and collaboration.
