Zoe Janda
Zoe runs a retail shop in Eastbourne selling African artifacts. The business started in March 2007.
The Challenges
Zoe was not very experienced with running a business and faced a number of challenges that she needed help with:
- She had a limited knowledge with regard to the logistics of running a business
- Writing a business plan
- Finding the most efficient way to import goods
But, most importantly of all, she needed guidance with the day-to-day running of the business.
The Support
First of all, the mentor helped with suggestions and initiatives to help with the day-to-day running of the business and organising cash flow. Zoe also attended a marketing course which was followed by further specific training by the mentor.
Edeal introduced Zoe to networking groups, sourced specialist help regarding importing legislation and licensing laws and provided help with obtaining finance, enabling Zoe to develop the business.
The Results
Zoe now feels she has the confidence to run a successful business. She now attends several networking groups, which has enabled her to build relationships with like-minded business people. In Zoe's words "The mentoring has been superb, it has transformed the way I run my business and I wouldn't be where I am today without Edeal's help"
