FREE Health and Safety
Awareness Event

The council's Environmental Health service is holding a Health and Safety Awareness Event on Tuesday 2 October 2007.

The free event is for hotels, guest houses, B&Bs and residential care homes in Eastbourne and will be held at the Hardwick Suite, International Lawn Tennis Centre, Devonshire Park.

Get the Latest Business Advice

The event was originally planned to take place in May 2007. Due to the significant levels of interest, we have decided to run a much larger event in partnership with other relevant council departments and external agencies.

This means that we can tailor the event to suit your business health and safety needs, making it even more attractive and beneficial to your business.

Programme of Expert Speakers

The day will include a programme of expert speakers on topic areas such as lift safety, fire risk assessments, electrical safety and legionella control, together with talks on health and safety policies, risk assessments and accident reporting.

More details of the programme will be announced nearer the time.

Your attendance at the event will demonstrate your commitment and willingness to comply with health and safety requirements, which may result in the need for us to inspect your premises less frequently.

Information and Networking

There will also be a variety of stands which will provide you with information and advice on other relevant areas such as food safety, Tourism, Town Centre Regeneration, other business developments and the Environment Agency.

It will also provide an excellent opportunity to network with other local businesses.

Book Your Free Place Now

If you wish to attend the free event please complete the online registration form.

Places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. You will be sent regular updates by email about the day’s programme and the speakers as the event develops.

When you book your free place online, you will be entered into a free £100 prize draw to win one of five copies of the BBC cookery book Tony & Giorgio, worth £20 each.
